Transport company "Traft" was established in 2000 as a representative office of the German company TRAFT-GROUP, for the implementation of domestic transportation. In 2005, the transport company Traft re-registered as a separate legal entity, remaining one of the leaders of transport companies in Moscow. At the moment, following the latest innovation trends, Traft started developing and testing unmanned vehicles, which will soon go on their first commercial flight.

International Industrial Design Innovations Forum is aimed at promoting students' projects. Why did you decide to support this project? Why are you interested in such a cooperation?
We work systematically with young people, we carry out industry competitions, we conduct internships. Recently held a federal art competition with the Government of Moscow and the Darwin Museum, dedicated to the image of the ecological future in large cities. Three participants of our traditional summer practice eventually became full-fledged employees of the Moscow office. Our reason to focus on students is that we have long understood: there is nothing that does not include young people in the learning process and does not spin the flywheel their imagination and efficiency, as the understanding that the results of their work (even in the framework of the current projects) right here and now they have a concrete exhaust in real life: the pieces of code written by them are taken for study by the design groups of large companies; their suggestions for improving existing IT products seriously at the case level are discussed in manufacturing enterprises; finally, their design sketches of unmanned trucks are embodied in real industrial designs.
Does your company already have experience of cooperation with novice designers or you are trying to work with experienced and recognized professionals?
Age has long been not an indicator of professionalism. Increasingly, we see how young people successfully compete with age-related and seemingly more experienced colleagues. If students began to build their careers at the university, making good projects for real companies, they can be called experienced. We support this early integration of children in the real world of science and business.
Is it easy for a young designer to get a job in your company?
In September of this year, we announced the launch of a full-fledged department, which in TRAFT will be engaged in the design of its own unmanned truck. Industrial design as an important part of this development cycle is still at our stage of development. But now we are already open to suggestions from talented designers of all ages. To do this, it is enough to contact our company through a corporate website.
What is the most important for a young industrial designer who has just graduated university? Maybe some personal qualities or luck, or participation in contests, or something else?
The same as for a beginner professional in any other field. Undoubtedly, this is a passion for business, the ability to plan and draw objective conclusions. If now you have not got a dream job, then you need to soberly assess yourself at the present time, without emotion. See what professional qualities you lack, and work on yourself. In our company, each employee continues to improve their skills every day. Try to approach the issue of education as an ongoing development process that penetrates into the fabric of your daily life - and you will discover a new world of amazing opportunities.
Is there any design project that recently made a very strong impression on you?
Yes, recently we often look through the works of young, talented guys. Very impressed with the design of the sports car, the design of which - smooth lines, directly simulating the streamlining of the body of air. When we work on the design of our unmanned truck, we also try to make its design meaningful - so that its appearance emphasizes dynamism and innovative management principles, stood out from the stream. https://www.behance.net/gallery/47651585/Mercedes-Sauber-C50-Concept
Let's dream. What will the design projects of the future look like? What else did not come up, but it would be worth it?
In the future, I see the creation of a special kind of neurointerface that will allow designers instantly to visualize in space any ideas in the design part that they just came up with. Drawings created in augmented reality. Such tools will help to appear in the light of a whole new kind of new design industries, which we do not even know yet. The designer of dreams and impressions, as in "Blade runner 2049" - why not?
