International Industrial Design Innovations Forum is aimed at promoting students' projects. Why did you decide to support this project? Why are you interested in such a cooperation?

This is not our first experience of cooperation with students, we are always happy to support such forums, cause we hope so much to find there a diamond - our future employee.

Does your company already have experience of cooperation with novice designers or you are trying to work with experienced and recognized professionals?

As I said, according to the results of previous competitions, we took young designers to our team. Experienced designers work on serious projects, but we also involve newbies to participation. If they are coping, the next project will be theirs.

Is it easy for a young designer to get a job in your company?

There always is a chance, but it's easy - it all depends on the person and his abilities.

What is the most important for a young industrial designer who has just graduated university? Maybe some personal qualities or luck, or participation in contests, or something else?

The most important thing for a young industrial designer is to remain a young industrial designer, even if you are 70 years old. And you need to fight with this «growing up», otherwise you will lose your thirst for creativity. Can I share my observation? Those who refuse mental work, look much older than people with an irrepressible desire for new knowledge and discoveries. Then, my observations were confirmed by scientific facts - intellectual work makes the brain, body and soul younger. Moreover, I think that two wonderful qualities give designers power to roll mountains, it's enthusiasm and passion. These two words are key in the world of Elleci.

Is there any design project that recently made a very strong impression on you?

This multi-storey house-tree, created by an Austrian designer: https://www.behance.net/prechteck. The concept of this house is: every resident has a green area on the balcony, and he is to take care about it. This project is about thinking of future, it raises the topic of human responsibility for the state of city environment. The building is called «Vertical Forest» or «Bosco Verticale» (in Italian), it is, by the way, created in my hometown of Milan. «Bosco Verticale» is a good example of Italian design thinking and Italian city projects. Giant work was done in the design of the building, but this project made a significant contribution to the ecology of the city. The vegetal system of the «Vertical Forest» aids in the construction of a microclimate, produces humidity, absorbs CO2 and dust particles and produces oxygen. The living façade means the exterior is constantly evolving, changing colours with the seasons and offering the Milan’s residents and ever-changing view of the cityscape.

Let's dream. What will the design projects of the future look like? What else did not come up, but it would be worth it?

I'm very interested in the theme of ecology, as you have already understood. I dream that we all will live in harmony with nature. Some big cities have already realized the importance of clever space improvement, now I recall that project with an abandoned railway in Manhattan, which was turned into a wonderful park. It’s a really great idea! http://www.nat-geo.ru/travel/34491-chudo-nad-mankhettenom/. So, I would like to see more green and healthy trees in the cities, that is why I hope that the future is for eco-projects. In this regard, it would be worthwhile to come up with a system of coordination of each green section of the city and connect it all to a single electronic map. For example, if a tree "gets sick", a specialist will immediately see a red light on such a map and will come to the rescue. It would be great.

The Forum presents many projects from the kitchen design segment. And what would be the perfect kitchen for you? What there should necessarily be?

There must be minimalism. I love when the kitchen is light and spacious, besides, I would like to see among the furniture shapes and textures, close to the elements of nature.
